Achieved better color on the chicken by cooking it in a slightly thicker layer of olive oil + butter to the skillet, which facilitated more even browning of the uneven surface.
Also resisted the temptation to add pasta. While the leftover sauce would be sinful to waste (see for example 14.314 Creamy Garlic Mushroom Chicken), better to dip bread into it, or to pour it over mashed potatoes on the side, thereby preserving the purity of its flavor.
