香港時代に親しくさせていただいていたお友達ご夫婦に「泊まりに来て」とお誘い頂き、伺うことにしました。お友達のお家には明日1泊だけさせていただくことにして、今日はケンブリッジに泊まっています。ケンブリッジとお友達のお家の間に行きたいアンティークのお店があるので、この機会に行ってみることに。
Our good friends from Hong Kong time, who live in East Anglia, invited us to go and stay with them, so we are on our way. We will stay with them just one night tomorrow, but are staying in Cambridge tonight because there are a couple of antique shops that I'd like to visit between here and our friends' place.
今日はお昼前にチチェスターのネイルサロンに行った後、12時ごろチチェスターを出て、途中で夫とサクッとランチをしてケンブリッジまで。ホテルには4時ごろ到着しました。宿泊ホテルは、Gonville Hotel というホテルで街の中にあり便利。お部屋は、別棟の中のお部屋を予約しました。今回は寒いので使えませんが、中庭に面していて小さなテラス付きのお部屋です。内装は、特別高級感があるとは言えないですが、良い感じです。
I had an appointment with my nail salon in Chichester just before lunch time so we left after I had my nails done and had a quick lunch on the way. We arrived in the hotel in Cambridge, Gonville Hotel, around 4:00pm. It's very near the centre of Cambridge so very convenient. We booked a room in a separate building. This time it's too cold to use it but our room has a little terrace on the edge of the garden, which is lovely. The interior is maybe not the most luxuarious, but very pleasant.
