今日は、ちょっと久しぶりに、ショーラムにあるいつもフランスパンを買いに行く La Patisserie に行って来ました。今日は予報通りに良いお天気になったので、パン＆ケーキ屋さんがある通りは外席に大勢の方達が座ってランチをされていました。良いお天気とはいえ、そこそこ風があったのでじっと座っていると寒い程度の気温でしたが、こうして写真で見てもみなさん真夏の格好です。イギリス的には夏のお天気ってことですね。
We went to La Patisserie in Shoreham-on-the-sea to get French bread today. As forecasted, we had a very sunny day so a lot of people were having lunch at outside tables along the street, where the bakery/cake shop is. Even though it was very sunny it was also windy so I thought it was too cold to sit outside but people seem to be enjoying themselves. As you can see on the photo, most people were wearing summer clothes. I suppose it was a summer enough here.
いつものコロネーションチキンがなかったので、ファラフェル＆フムスのサンドイッチ。
There was no Coronation Chicken sandwich today, so I had Falafel & Hummus sandwich.
夫は、カマンベールとベーコンのサンドイッチ。
My husband had Camembert & Bacon Sandwich.
このお店は、お昼はいつも混んでいて行列が出来てとってもお忙しそうなのですが、フランス人のオーナーさん（ご主人はパンを焼いたりケーキを作っておられて、奥様はサービスされていて、多分息子さんや娘さんかな？と思う方たちもサービスされています）たちはとてもにこやかで穏やかで、いつもとても感じが良いです。それも、遠くても行きたくなる理由かなと思います。
La Patisserie is always very busy at lunch time but the owner (the husband is baking and making cakes in the kitchen and the wife is serving at the cafe) is always very friendly, smily and nice. This is probably another reason why we go there even though it's quite far.
ケーキも買って来たので、お茶の時間にいただきました。
We also bought some cakes/tarts so had some at tea time.
