Simple & Easy Sinuglaw Recipe (My Own Version of Sinuglaw) #1 sa SARAP
Ingredients
500 grams pork belly, thinly sliced
1 onion, finely chopped
3 tomatoes, diced
2-3 chili peppers (siling labuyo), chopped (adjust to taste)
1 cucumber, diced
1 small sprite soda
½ cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped spring onions for garnish
Instructions
Marinate Pork: In a bowl, combine thinly sliced pork belly with sprite soda and season with salt and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Grill Pork: Heat a grill pan or barbecue grill over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated pork slices until cooked through and slightly charred, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.
Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the grilled pork slices. Add diced tomatoes, chopped chili peppers, sugar, vinegar and diced cucumber. Mix everything gently to combine.
Adjust Seasoning: Taste the sinuglaw mixture and adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can add more vinegar, salt, or pepper as needed.
Serve: Transfer the chilled sinuglaw into a serving dish. Garnish with chopped spring onions. Serve with ice cubes on the side, if preferred, for a refreshing touch.
