The strawberries are in the waffle batter. Since it's mother's day and my wife likes strawberries with her waffles I thought it was a good idea. Turned out great and since we always seem to have strawberries in the fridge I will make them again. There is one thing that you really have to do when putting the strawberries in the batter. The strawberries need to be cut into small pieces and you need to fold them gently in with the beaten egg whites.
