Today's Bible Reading- Nehemiah Chapters 12-13 and Esther Chapter 1.
June's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:9-10.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 84°, sunny, no rain, winds are from the north northeast at 4 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 71%.
Today is voting day here. There's only three positions on the ballot, but they are all important. I asked the Lord to help me know who He wants me to vote for. Who would be the best man or woman for the job.
I need to get supper in the slow cooker by 10:00, which is in 45 minutes. It has to cook for 9 hours. It's slow cooked Caribbean pork.
We have a small pickle. Mom asked me to pick her up a couple of vials of insulin yesterday. I go to Walmart to get it (because it's cheapest there), and they're out. Turns out there is a national shortage of that insulin. No Walmart in the country has it, and they don't know when it's going to come in. So, Mom has no insulin right now.
On top of all that, Mom's doctor retired and we thought the new guy would be here in May. Nope. Just found out yesterday that he won't be here until mid-August! Well, she needs prescriptions, so we'll have to see the Grinch of doctors tomorrow, who treats Mom like dirt. Just to get some prescription refills. America's health system is so. . . awful. It didn't used to be that way.
Anyways. Here I am, needing to have the slow cooker started in 18 minutes and I haven't even started. Mom got on a rant about the doctor. His nurse called. She is, in my opinion, the largest jackass on the planet. Or at least in the top 10. Wow. Rude. Condescending. Doesn't listen. She told Mom her appointment tomorrow is at 2:15. Mom's MyChart says 3:30. It's a squeeze-in appointment, so Mom's like, should we show up at 2:15? I don't know.
The spiritual warfare is real today, peeps. Oh my word. I'm on edge today. Gracie is clingy, there are mosquitoes in my room eating me up, I didn't get to finish my first cup of coffee because a mosquito kamikazed into my cup. I did make a smoothie and put a lid on the cup. I'm almost finished with that. I just need a whole lot of Jesus today. A whole lot.
That's all for now. I love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
