Today's Bible Reading- Job Chapters 32-26.
June's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:9-10.
Good morning, my peeps. I hope you're well. I'm a bit annoyed, but more on that in a moment. Our forecast for today: 89°, mostly sunny, no rain, winds from the east northeast at 8 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 65%.
The annoyance. Well, I have a couple. First of all, Lockheed Martin has decided to use our area to test fighter jets. We keep hearing sonic booms, which in turn makes our houses rattle and scares the poop out of me every time.
The second annoyance. Well, I'm so annoyed at the sonic booms, I've forgotten the second one. Oh. The vet. I emailed Gracie's vet to ask what the price would be to bring her in for a rabies booster and to get the prescription for her food renewed. It'll cost $100. There's another vet around who has a mobile practice. I'm going to check him out and see what the cost would be. Who knows. Maybe there's a non-prescription food that would work just as well as the prescription food. I just know I don't really have $100 for a shot and a prescription renewal.
In other news, the menu is made, the grocery list is made, it's trash day, and I need to feed the fish and check the garden for more pickles. I won't go to the store until either tomorrow or Saturday because they're going to have a 2-day sale on paper towels.
Or, I could do a run on paper goods today and deal with actual food tomorrow. I don't know. I still have boxes to take to the dump, too. Next week is going to be crazy hot. Heat index will most likely be in the triple digits. A lot of grilling will be done. Tonight, we'll be having grilled brats with peppers and onions. I'd also like to clear off the top of the fridge to make room for the canner.
I may also have to break down and get a traditional mouse trap. This mouse is smart. Too smart. Like Mousehunt smart. Remember that movie? Twice now, it's gotten in my humane trap, eaten all the peanut butter and gotten out. Nothing was broken. Nothing was out of place. All the parts were working. It's frustrating.
Well, sitting here griping won't change anything. I need to get myself moving before it gets too hot. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
