Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 86°, sunny with a few clouds, 10% chance of rain, winds from the northeast at 7 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 79%.
Today marks the beginning of a heat wave. We'll be experiencing it for the next week or so. I'll definitely be running my a/c.
Today also marks a very busy day for me and Mom. Our bank sent us new debit cards. Instead of us deactivating our old cards and activating the new ones, the bank deactivated it all, and we have to activate the new cards today. Lovely. That means I'll be keeping busy with updating all the places that take our cards. Yay me. (sarcasm there)
Also, Mom was given an appointment with Dr. Grinch today at 3:30. The doctor's office wouldn't send in a prescription for insulin or any other medication until she sees the Grinch. I call him the Grinch because he's a total jackass, as is his nurse. Condescending, rude, has no business being a doctor or a nurse or working with older people. Automatically assumes that anyone who is overweight just sits around eating donuts all day. Doesn't listen to the patient.
Anyhoo. Between ledgers needing balanced, cards needing activated, taking Mom to see Grinch, and making supper, my day is full. I also have boxes. Lots of boxes. They need to go. Some laundry needs put away. Thelma needs fed. The fish need fed. It's going to be a busy day.
Almost on cue, Gracie has gotten up from her pillow (for the 4th or 5th time) and is demanding pets while she eats. Pardon me.
All right. I'm back. *sigh* That's about all I have for today, peeps. I have a lot to do. At some point, I need to weed the garden and put some cages on some of the tomato plants. Maybe trellis the cucumbers. Not sure when that will happen. Supper tonight will be sloppy joes. Definitely looking forward to that.
Hopefully, by the end of today, Mom will have insulin. That's the hope. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
