Today's Bible Reading- Ezra Chapters 7-9.
June's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:9-10.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 82°, overcast, 60% chance of rain, winds from the south southwest at 5 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 93%.
It's a humid morning this morning. I've already turned on the a/c unit. I'm sure Gracie will object at some point, but for now she's okay with it. She's on her pillow, listening to the clicking of the keys as I type. Her head is buried under her tail, but her ears are in tune with where I am.
I got my laundry done yesterday. The fountain and the litter box are still on the to-do list. I ended up reorganizing two bookshelves yesterday. Mom asked me to do it a long time ago and I just haven't had the willpower to do it until yesterday. It's amazing what an organized bookshelf will do for a room.
Can I be honest? I know that this house is supposed to be my inheritance, but I gotta tell ya. After yesterday, I think I'm ready to sell it and move. Our new neighbors have two dogs. They aren't super friendly (the neighbors or the dogs). One dog looks like an older lab of some sort. The other looks like a German shepherd. It's young and full of life. Well, yesterday, a delivery driver showed up at their house and walked toward the door to drop a package off. The younger dog tore through the screen door and bit the delivery driver.
I don't know if anything will come of that. Turns out that the dog is one of those Belgian malinois (spelling?) dogs and it's in training to be a protection dog. I'm not really a dog fan anyways, and I'm already nervous about those two dogs. They bark and growl at me every time I go in the back yard to work back there. Now that I know they're there for protection and not to be pets, it makes me even more nervous. I mean, if the one dog tore through the screen door, what's to stop it from jumping the fence?
Pop's already made the comment that he'll shoot the dog dead if he jumps our fence. *eye roll* He's just itching to shoot something.
Then you have the cat situation. Dogs on one side, a seemingly endless stream of cats on the other side. Had I the money, I'd buy some land way out in the boonies and build a house, a greenhouse, and a big workshop/garage. Anyone know where I could make a quick couple of million bucks? Just joking. Slightly.
I don't know. I guess the neighborhood has changed and I'm ready to go somewhere else. Somewhere quiet, safe, and where I can get up and Mom isn't stressed all day about cats on the porch and upset about the status of the house.*sigh* Nothing is ever simple. Ever.
The tacos were delicious last night. Tonight is burger night. I'm looking forward to it. I'm still working on my to-do list. The internet keeps going out, so they must be doing some work somewhere. We lost internet for a couple of hours yesterday. It wasn't working earlier this morning.
That's all I have for now, peeps. I'm just wistfully hoping for better things today. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
