Blurb in the book:
After more than a decade, when sisters Nikki, Sami, and Tori Knotek hear the word mom, it claws like an eagle's talons, triggering memories that have been their secret since childhood. Until now.
For years, behind the closed doors of their farmhouse in Raymond, Washington, their sadistic mother, Shelly, subjected her girls to unimaginable abuse, degradation, torture, and psychic terrors. Through it all, Nikki, Sami, and Tori developed a defiant bond that made them far less vulnerable than Shelly imagined. Even as others were drawn into their mother's dark and perverse web, the sisters found the strength and courage to escape an escalating nightmare that culminated in multiple murders.
The book is about the survival of the three sisters Nikki, Sami and Tori Knotek from their mother Michelle Knotek who is referred as Shelly. When a mother turns into a foe for the girls, their lives become torment. Shelly had psychological problems since her childhood. Her Grandma Anna had a similar dominant behavior where she spends some of her time. The story is not fiction and is written by an author who has published several true crime stories. The writer has interviewed the girls and their dad for the book and it will be apparent when the readers read the book. The story gets extreme when murder gets involved in it.
I will not recommend this book to the for the faint hearted readers as it consists of drastic torment and ill treatment. The horror in the story gets worse with each page. The negative sides of life as manipulation and torture are mentioned in the book, If You Tell. The readers would get entirely astonished and traumatized when they realize that the story is true crime as each happenings seems impossible to be non fiction. The book shows that the bravery and good connection between the sisters, reached them towards victory.
