セント・アイブスに行った日はとても良いお天気でしたが、気温は上がらず、海沿いで風も強いので結構寒かったです。でも、海がとても綺麗でした。観光地なので駐車場が下の方には小さいのしかなく、基本的に坂の上の広い駐車場に停めることになります。すごく広い駐車場でしたがとても混雑していて、空いているところまで辿り着くのに結構時間がかかりました。
The day we went to St Ives, it was lovely and sunny but still quite chilly, specially in St Ives because of the sea breeze. The sea looked beautiful, though. As it's a touristy place and the way the town is there are only a couple of small parking lots so most of us had to park in the huge car park on top of the hill. Even though it was really a huge car park it was pretty busy, it took us a while to get to where there was still space.
駐車場からかなり急な坂道を降りて行きます。なかなか、雰囲気の良い街でした。
Then you walk down a quite steep hill to the sea. The town was very nice.
サーフィンをしている人も、ちらほら。
There were some people doing surfing.
そして、夫が行きたかったという美術館、Tate St Ives に入りました。
We then went in Tate St Ives.
街のカフェでお茶をと思ったのですが、ちょうどお茶時間であまり空席がなかったのと、気温は低いもののお天気が良かったので、風が通らない小さなカフェの中は暑くて（エアコンはない）無理そう。どうしようかと思っていたら、教会のお庭にカフェを発見。
After that, we thought we'd have tea in a cafe, but it was right in the tea time and the cafes were mostly full (they are all little ones) and also we found inside cafes very hot (no air-conditioning) because it was so sunny even though the temperature wasn't that high. Then we found a cafe in the garden of a church.
フラップジャックのようなものとコーヒーと胡桃のケーキを半分ずつしながら、お茶時間。景色も良くて、ここを見つけてラッキー。
We shared something like a flapjack and coffee and walnut cafe and had tea enjoying the beautiful view, we were lucky to have found it.
駐車場までの道は急な坂道で、わたしは途中まで行って「ここで待ってるから、ピックアップして〜。」ということで、夫にピックアップしてもらいました（笑）。
The way back to the car park was of course such a long and steel hill, so in the middle I asked my husband to pick me up and I just waited where I was. He he!
片道２時間で少し長距離でしたが、お天気も良く、綺麗な海を見て絵を見てお庭でお茶して、と、（ランチ以外）とても楽しかったです。
It was a long drive for my husband since it took 2 hours one way, but we had beautiful weather, so the beautiful sea, looked at some paintings, had tea in a garden - had a nice day (apart from the awful lunch!).
