Today's Bible Reading- Psalms Chapters 138-147.
July's Memory Verse- Proverbs 3:11-12.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 92°, sunny, no rain, winds from the north northeast at 4 miles per hour, and humidity is sitting at 76%.
What is up with our weather? We're a month ahead of everything! The crepe myrtle trees are already blooming, which doesn't usually happen till August. That's our sign that fall is on the way. I've noticed other people making comments like that as well. Berries are ripening a month too soon, persimmon trees are a month ahead of schedule. It's strange.
The pork picadillo was a half hit last night. Pop loved it. I thought it was pretty tasty. Mom didn't care for it. It had cinnamon in it. Well, it had pumpkin pie spice, which has cinnamon in it. I didn't realize that. I don't typically use pumpkin pie spice. Anyhoo. There's enough for leftovers tonight. I think what I'll do is make a pot of yellow rice. That'll go nicely with the pork, and we have leftover fajitas as well.
Meanwhile, I'm at the end of my rope with this mouse. It's either light enough or smart enough to get in the trap, get the peanut butter, and then get out of the trap again. I've asked the Lord to help me catch him because I don't want to have to get a kill trap. It's not in my nature to kill little critters like that. Creepy crawlers and skeeters, yes. Mice, no.
Today's agenda: ledgers, I have a pile of bills that came in, and I want to get Gracie's litter box cleaned out.
I have a potential meeting I could go to tonight, so I could make supper early, but I'm not sure if I'll make it there or not. It's as 6:00 tonight. That means I'll have to leave around 5:30 or so to get there. I don't know. We'll see how things fare today.
That's about all I have for today, peeps. I'm running late, I'm starving, and I'm a little grumpy today. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends. ❤
