夫は元気になりましたが、わたしが夫の風邪をもらってしまいました（涙）。20数年ぶりに寝込んでしまいました。最後に寝込んだのは香港に住んでいた時に一時帰国した時、インフルエンザ（に違いない）で丸々1週間熱が引かずトイレに行くのとお薬を飲む以外ずっと寝ていたという記憶があります。今回はそこまで酷くはないものの、昨日はほぼ動けず。熱、全身筋肉痛、鼻詰まり（完全に詰まって金魚のように口ぱくぱくでしか息が出来ない）。今日、やっとこうしてベッドの上に座れるようになりました。やれ、やれ。これほど酷い風邪をひくのは本当に久しぶり。
My husband is much better now but I came down with a cold on the night before yesterday. It's been 20-some years since I had to stay in bed from a cold. The last time it happened was when we were living in Hong Kong and I was visiting Japan, I came down with a flu (it must've been a flu) and couldn't get out of bed for a whole week with very high fever, I was literally sleeping for the whole time other than going to the loo and taking medicine. This time it's not as bad but still pretty awful. I couldn't get out of bed yesterday with fever, achy body all over, blocked nose (100% blocked so I have to breath through my mouth all the time like a gold fish). Thankfully, I am a little bit better and can sit up in bed like this today.
昨日、新しいガーデン・ファーニチャーが届きました。以前使っていたものはシンガポールでお友達がシンガポールを発たれる時に安く譲っていただいたもので気に入って使わせていただいていましたが、雨ばかりのイギリスで、あっという間に緑の苔のようなものが付いてしまい色々試しましたが落ちず、この数年、新しくしたいと思っていましたがやっと気に入ったものが見つかったので購入しました。届いてみれば組み立てが必要で、わたしは手伝えなかったので夫が頑張って1人で組み立ててくれました、結構大変だったみたいです。
Yesterday, our new garden furniture arrived! The previous garden dining set was bought from a friend, who left Singapore, and we liked it but with this awful weather in England some elgee grew on the material very quickly and we could not get rid of it so I've been wanting to renew it for the last few years. We finally found something we really like so bought it. We didn't realise it needed assembling and I wasn't well enough to help so my husband assembled all on his own, it seemed like a hard work.
テーブルはレバーで上げてダイニングテーブルにも出来るし、下げてコーヒーテーブルにも出来るのがとても便利。そして、ソファーなので座り心地が良くてリラックス出来ます。ダイニングの椅子は余り座り心地が良いとは言えないので、ソファーならわたしも利用するかもしれません。ただ、問題はお天気。外に座るようなお天気がどれほどあるか、ですね。
The table can go up and down with a leave so it can be used as a dining table or a coffee table, very convenient. Also, rather than dining chairs they are a corner sofa and benches so much more comfortable to sit, so even I may stay there for a bit. The problem is, of course, the weather! Are we going to get good enough weather before winter?
昨日の夫の夕食、残っていたミネストローネスープ。まだ少し残っていたので、残りはわたしが今日のランチにいただきました。味はしなかったですが、少しでも食べる気になったのは良かった。（昨日はお薬を飲むためにバナナを半分とトーストを食べただけ。）
My husband's supper yesterday, it was left-over Minestrone Soup. There was still a little let so I had it for lunch - I must say I couldn't taste much but at least I felt well enough to eat something. All I had yesterday was half a banana and a toast so that I can take medicine.
