Okay, we did a groovy art and web comics special recently. That inspired us to head off around social media to find more super talented web comic illustrators. We found plenty!
Loads. In fact, it's quite alarming the level of talent out there (and wonderful to see, of course). And we've been enjoying them mega bucks! As you should, too.
The Very Best of Online Web Comics That Are on the Internet (apparently)
Here we go, preamble before the main bit. All because Google's SEO requirements demand this bullshit instead of just letting people write normally.
Sarah Anderson
Sarah Anderson's work is very popular. She has millions of followers and we can dig her fun style. Due to a sense of toxic masculinity it does make us angry from time to time.
Like... we're a man bloke. We can do better than that! Then we remember we can't draw, but our sister can, and we curse the realisation our ineptitude may be down to us.
Beetle Moses
Beetle Moses has a way with words. And images. Plus, concepts. Casual wordplay is another and, cripes, we had 12+ years to think of this one and missed it. Credit to him.
Elvish... git.
Smooth Dunk
Got to rally behind Smooth Dunk, they say it how it is. Not in a way that tabloid reading 50+ year old fellas who like saying it how it is would want to agree with, because their version of saying it how it is isn't really about saying it how it is. It's about being a dickhead.
But Smooth Dunk smooths out those creases by highlighting Elon Musk's relentless, staggering hypocrisy.
J. L. Westover
Responsible for probably our favourite web comic ever (so far), this dude. We like it because it has Mario Kart. Oh yeah, and the interminable struggle of trying to make friends as an adult when you work full-time and need to fund your cheese addiction.
Greb Comics
Positivity and loveliness is the name of the game here.
Strange Planet
Strange Planet (Nathan W. Pyle) explores off world concepts... on world. It's very clever! Mildly skewing common Earth issues but to consider alien concepts within. It's mainly active on Instagram and well worth a follow.l
