The recipe below will direct you on how to make homemade cinnamon bread which will make your home smell like freshly baked bread with the smell of cinnamon.

Ingredients:

All-Purpose Flour, 3 cups

Sugar, granulated, (1/4 cup)

Active dry yeast, 2 ¼ tablespoons

Salt, 1 teaspoon

Milk, warm (110°F/45°C), 1cup

Butter unsalted (melted), ¼ cup

Large egg, 1

For the Cinnamon Filling:

Granulated sugar-1/2 cup

Ground cinnamon-2tablespoons

Butter unsalted(softened)-1/4 cup

Prepare the Cinnamon Filling:
In a shallow dish, combine sugar and cinnamon.

Punch down dough; turn onto a lightly floured surface. Roll into a 14×9-inch rectangle.

Spread dough with softened butter and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Shape the Bread:

Starting at the shorter side, roll up tightly. Pinch seams to seal.

Place roll, seam side down in a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan. Cover and let rise until doubled about 30 minutes.

Bake:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. If necessary, loosely cover with foil during last 10 minutes of baking to prevent over-browning.

Take out of the oven and let cool in the pan on a wire rack for approximately 10 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely

Hints for Success:
Warm your milk not too hot so that it can activate yeast well.

For richer taste, try adding vanilla extract one teaspoonful on dough

It is best when the dough rises in an area without draft but warm enough.
