Growing up my parents told me and showed me the importance of courtesy, which others call small acts of kindness. Simple things like holding a door for someone in a walker, helping someone pick up things they have dropped. Even when I was a teenager I understood it and did things to help others who needed it. Changing a tire in the rain for two ladies rather than walking by. Ever time I am out courtesy is something that just seems to happen without my having to think about it. I have been told a number of times I am a kind person by those I have done simple little things for. One thing comes to my mind every time I am thanked for little thing. I remember my father telling me only an asshole would turn their back on someone who needed help. Call it courtesy or small acts of kindness it doesn't matter. It's what everyone should and needs to do every day.
