Strawberries and Cream is a huge summer dessert in the UK. It was traditionally eaten at this time of year. That's when strawberries used to grow in this country. Nowadays you can get strawberries all year round. Plus you can get ice cream too.
Personally I prefer both of these foods in the summer. This year I decided to mix my frozen strawberries and coconut cream in a blender to make ice cream. It was so tasty that I had to share the recipe with you. Below is a video and recipe for you.

Equipment
Blender
Measuring jug
Teaspoon
Ice cream scoop
Ingredients
Frozen Strawberries x 500g
Cold or frozen coconut cream x 2 tbsp
Coconut water x 20 - 30mls (or maybe even more)
Maple syrup x 2 - 4 tsp
Method
Transfer the coconut cream to ice cube trays and put into the freezer.
When frozen remove from the freezer and take out a couple of the ice cubes.
You may need to run this under a warm tap for a minute or so.
Just until it pops out.
Alternatively put the carton of cream into the fridge overnight.
Put the frozen strawberries, coconut water and maple syrup into the blender.
Blend these ingredients together until it's smooth and resembles ice cream.
You may need to add a little more coconut water but do this a little at a time.
Once the ingredients look like ice cream stop the blender.
Scoop out with the ice cream scoop into bowls.
Then serve and enjoy.
Strawberry Ice Cream
Strawberry Ice Cream was a very delicious dessert. It was very easy to prepare and blend. I would make it and eat it immediately. It is not a dessert I would refreeze at the strawberries have already been frozen. We ate it in bowls but it would be good eaten in an ice cream cone too. However you decide to eat this dish, as always, please enjoy. Thank you xxx
