Keto Cinnamon Pretzels

Keto Cinnamon Pretzels. Full of flavor, chewy, low carb and soft! Especially when you're craving something sweet, these are the perfect snack!

Keto Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

I think its smell is the best part about a soft pretzel other than tasting great! When I walk by that stand that's selling pretzels, it's always the smell that gets me. Especially the cinnamon pretzels!

We can no longer indulge in the goodness that is a soft pretzel because traditional soft pretzels are obviously not a part of our low carb lifestyle. At least, not until now!

As opposed to the traditional, I have always preferred Gluten Free Soft Pretzel Baking Mix. They're both delicious so don't get me wrong, but nothing beats a warm, soft pretzel, dipped in a sweet cream cheese, topped with cinnamon-sugar.

What Is Fat Head Dough?

To making any low carb "bread", it is the key, and these pretzels are no exception.
It's used to make low carb pigs in a blanket, bread, calzones, rolls, pizza, and everything in between.

What To Dip These In:

Check out the cream frosting that we used to create our Chewy Keto Coconut Cookies if you're looking for an easy cream cheese dip for these. As a dip for these pretzels, you could easily use this frosting!

Best Sweetener for Keto Pretzels

We use a combination of keto-friendly granulated sweetener and cinnamon for this recipe! Lakanto's Monkfruit Sweetener!
For all of our sweet treats, we use Lakanto's Monkfruit and that's because it's the best!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 egg, beaten 1 egg, beaten

Cinnamon-Sugar Coating

  • 3 tbs coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Lakanto monk fruit, or sweetener of choice
  • 2 tbs ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F. With parchment paper, line baking sheet and put it aside.
  • Microwave the cream cheese and mozzarella for ONE minute in a glass or microwave safe bowl.
  • Stir the mixture half way through.
  • Add in beaten egg, coconut flour, and almond flour, stir.
  • Into 5 sections, divide your dough and place on baking sheet after forming each one into a pretzel shape. Wet your hands if you find your dough too sticky.
  • Until it gets lightly browned, bake for FIFTEEN minutes.

For the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating

  • Melt the butter and coconut oil in a small bowl in microwave (About FIFTEEN seconds).
  • Whisk together the cinnamon and sweetener in a separate small dish.
  • With the butter and coconut oil mixture, brush the pretzels, then to coat, immediately toss into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Notes

  • Best served warm.
  • In an airtight container, I stored the remainder in the fridge.

Keto Cinnamon Pretzels

Keto Cinnamon Pretzels are a delectable twist on a classic snack, offering a low-carb alternative that doesn't compromise on flavor. These pretzels combine the familiar comfort of traditional pretzels with a sweet and spicy cinnamon coating, making them a delightful treat for those following a ketogenic lifestyle. With their crispy exterior and warm, cinnamon-sugar flavor, they provide a satisfying indulgence without the high carbohydrate count.

Traditional pretzels are typically made with wheat flour and sugar, which are high in carbs and not suitable for a keto diet. However, keto cinnamon pretzels use low-carb substitutes to recreate the beloved snack. By incorporating almond flour or coconut flour into the dough and using a keto-friendly sweetener, these pretzels capture the essence of the classic treat while keeping carbs to a minimum. The result is a deliciously crunchy pretzel with the same satisfying bite you love, but without the excess carbs.

The preparation of keto cinnamon pretzels is both straightforward and rewarding. The dough is crafted from a blend of almond flour, eggs, and a touch of baking powder, then shaped into small pretzel forms. After a quick boil in a baking soda solution, which helps achieve that signature pretzel texture, the pretzels are baked until golden brown. Once out of the oven, they are brushed with melted butter and coated in a mix of cinnamon and a low-carb sweetener, creating a delightful sweet and spicy finish.

One of the appealing aspects of keto cinnamon pretzels is their versatility. They can be enjoyed as a sweet snack, a dessert, or even as a unique party treat. For added variety, you can dip them in a keto-friendly icing or pair them with a cup of coffee for a perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Their sweet cinnamon flavor makes them a great alternative to traditional sweet snacks, offering a healthier option that aligns with your dietary goals.

Incorporating keto cinnamon pretzels into your meal plan provides a flavorful way to enjoy a classic treat while staying within the bounds of a low-carb diet. They offer a satisfying crunch and a burst of cinnamon sweetness, making them a great choice for curbing sweet cravings without derailing your nutritional objectives. By making these pretzels at home, you can enjoy a treat that supports your keto lifestyle and brings a bit of comfort and joy to your day.

Overall, keto cinnamon pretzels are a delightful and innovative addition to your keto-friendly recipes. Their easy preparation, delicious taste, and low-carb profile make them a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy a classic snack in a healthier, keto-compliant way. With their rich cinnamon flavor and satisfying crunch, these pretzels provide a wonderful way to indulge while sticking to your ketogenic diet.
