I've known Maruchan for quite some time now, and they never disappoint when it comes to making delicious ramen and other foods. I've tried different flavors from their instant ramen series before, and I might have even tried this Maruchan Gotsumori Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen flavor before, but I honestly couldn't remember. I only eat instant ramen once in a while, so each experience feels like a new adventure!
First Impressions of Maruchan Gotsumori Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen
Maruchan is very generous with the amount of noodles in their ramen. As soon as I opened the package, I was greeted with a well-packed bowl full of noodles, seasonings, and toppings. The bright and bold packaging caught my attention immediately, promising a big bowl of hearty noodles.
The Ingredients
Inside, there were three packets: a powdered soup base, liquid seasoning, and a pack of dehydrated toppings. Each packet was clearly labeled, making the preparation process straightforward.
Cooking Experience
Don't mix the soup base right away. While waiting for the noodles to cook for 3 minutes, place the soup base packet on top of the cover to heat it up. After 3 minutes, add it to your ramen. The smell when I opened the packet of Maruchan Gotsumori Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen was mouthwatering. It smelled like thick tonkotsu broth, rich and savory.
Taste Test: Maruchan Gotsumori Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen
The soup had a thick, umami taste that instantly reminded me of my favorite ramen shops that serve thick tonkotsu broth. The noodles were thin and easy to eat. Itis not too soft, just the way I prefer my ramen noodles.
Final Thoughts
It's unbelievable that something this delicious comes at such a cheap price. The generous amount of noodles makes sure that your tummy will be well satisfied. I highly recommend trying this if you're looking for a comforting, quick meal that doesn't break the bank.
