昨日は、ほぼ１日ずっと雨、結構激しく降っている時もありました。そして、今日も朝からずっと雨。日曜日の夕方までのお天気予報は、数日前より更に悪い方に変わってずっと雨や雷雨（涙）、良い方に変わってくれることを祈っていたのですが残念。
It was raining mostly all day yesterday and so far today, the weather forecast says it'll be like this (sometimes thunder) until evening on Sunday so it's changed for the worse. I was hoping it'll change for the better but that didn't happen.
昨日は、親しいお友達ご夫婦とディナーをご一緒しました。確か、3ヶ月くらい前にご一緒する予定を入れていたのですが、色々あって、今日になりました。ご一緒したレストランは「Chez Moi」という週に何日かしかオープンしないレストランで、夫と２人で７月に１度行っています。その時にご一緒する予定がご都合が悪くなったので２人だけで行き、今日はそのリベンジでした。
We had dinner out with our good friends, probably it had been about 3 months since we saw them. We were going to meet them much earlier but for various reasons we couldn't. We went to "Chez Moi", which opens only a few days a week. We were there in July once, we were booked originally with these friends but they couldn't make it and we just went ahead as the two of us. They'd been there for Sunday roasts a few times but not for dinner during week so this was their first evening dinner there for them.
わたしはメインに食べたいものがなかったので、前菜２品にしました。前菜としていただいたのは、ビーフカルパッチョ。美味しかったです。
I couldn't find anything I wanted on the main menu so had 2 starters. For the starter, I chose Beef Carpaccio, which was very good.
お友達ご夫婦は、無花果にブルーチーズを詰めてベーコンで巻いて焼いたものをシェアされました、美味しかったようでした。
Our friends shared figs stuffed with blue cheese, wrapped with bacon and baked, they seemed to have enjoyed it.
夫は、トマトとモッツァレラ、オリーブのサラダ、美味しかったそうです。
My husband had a salad of Heritage tomatoes, mozzarella and olives.
わたしは、メインにフレンチオニオンスープをオーダー、これは酸っぱくて好みではなかったです。
I had French Onion Soup. I didn't enjoy this, it was too sour for me.
お友達と夫は、シーバス。これもとても美味しかった様でした。
My husband and our friend each had Seabass, which they said was very good.
お友達のご主人は、ポークベリー、これも美味しかったようでした。
Our friend's husband had Pork Belly, which I think he enjoyed.
わたしのデザートは、前回美味しかったラズベリークレームブリュレ、今回も美味しかったです。
My dessert was Raspberry Crème Brûlée, I had this last time we were here and it was very good, so I ordered it again, very good again.
お友達ご夫婦は、タルト・タタンをシェア。
Our friends shared Tarte Tatin.
夫は珍しく、デザートなしでした。
My husband didn't have any dessert, which is very unusual.
とても久し振りだったので、沢山キャッチアップすることがあり、10時ごろまでおしゃべりが続きました、とても楽しかったです。
It's been a while since we saw them and there was a lot to catch up with, we had a great evening.
今日から、Sissinghurst というところに2泊の小旅行にきています。宿泊先のWi-Fiが先日の嵐で機能していないそうで、シグナルも弱いのでほとんどインターネットが出来ない状況です、イギリスはシグナルがないところが沢山あってとても困ります。今、パブで夕食をしながらブログをしていますが、明日はできないかも知れません、日曜日に自宅に戻ります。
We are now in Sissinghurst for 2 nights. Unfortunately the WiFi of our hotel is down due to the storm the other day and the phone signal is so bad I cannot use internet much. So many places have bad signal in England, it's unbelievable. We are at a pub for dinner so I'm working on my blog using the pub WiFi but I may not be able to blog at all tomorrow. We'll be home on Sunday.
