We tried to find a nice hotel near where the party was, but there aren't any, so we stayed at "Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse", which is next to the famous garden, "Sissnghurst Castle Garden". It's a B&B so the room is very small, the bathroom is tiny and you only get a breakfast as a base. The owner lady was very friendly and lovely, though.
On the day we arrived, they had a storm, which damaged wifi of the whole village, we were told that it'll be back in the evening on Saturday but it wasn't back when we left this morning. This wasn't under B&B's control but it was awful not to be able to use internet, As this was only a short trip, I didn't even take a book so I was bored to tears! the phone signal was nearly zero, I had it for a few seconds now and again only. When we were in Europe on cruise, we had very strong signal everywhere and were able to use internet everywhere, but in England, you have trouble with phone signals even in some cities, I really wish they did something about it.
This happens often, but there was only one chair so I had to sit on the bed all the time.
Sissinghurst Castle Garden
You can see Sissinghurst Castle from the window as it's right next to this B&B.
There was this square window right next to the bed so we would have had the light straight on the bed from outside as soon as the sun rises, so my husband put a cushion in the window, what a great idea! Unfortunately, the curtains were not lined so the light came in through and around the curtains and made the whole room quite bright very early anyway, though.
