Depends on the time the customer have. In a rush, yes. Feeling like there's plenty of time in the day, no. If the flow of grocery shopping where the customer can walk up on down the aisle at their own pace is disrupted when stuck waiting to pay could be a problem. One option is to shop when the supermarket is sort of empty. The other option is to let someone deliver your groceries. Grocery shopping is a personal endeavor and the more the customer feels comfortable and in control of the process, the better. Until it's not.
