Hope everyone's doing well during this ghost month! I don't really understand why August is associated as such, and to be honest, I'm afraid to Google it, so let's just leave it at that.

I celebrated 6 months with my job last August 1st! It's been another busy month, but I'm thankful for every opportunity that makes me so because that only means more blessings. We have been constantly adding more people to the team, and adjusting to a lot of changes, so it's been quite challenging lately but I'm here for it! I've dropped 2 of my part-time jobs since they were only mentally draining anyway, so I'm finally able to focus on my full-time job.

Our team had the chance to participate in a Tony Robbins Peak Performance Workshop.

I had no idea who Tony Robbins was, but his name was always brought up every meeting. The man literally has his own Wikipedia page, and that usually means a person is popular! (Right?...) Our boss has connections and he hooked us up with an hour session with one of Tony's speakers, Cori Zigman. She was just teaching us how to ultimately bring out the best in ourselves and made the mini activities very fun and interactive. Though it felt like an hour was too short, it was a fantastic experience!

If you don't know it yet, I own a foodstagram account. I've been handling it for a year now, and have yet to create a blog post dedicate to it (stay tuned!). A huge foodie, I made the account when I was missing dining out with Cody and wanted to reminisce on all the food photos we took together. Since then, I've had friends sending me their photos and I happily post them on my account. Because of this, I've came across and virtually met food bloggers all over the world.

I've visited so many accounts dedicated to charcuterie boards and decided it was about time I try to make one, and here's the result!

I was so proud of what I came up with. Not bad for a first-timer, right? I plan to enhance more of my cooking skills and continue posting photos of food on my foodstagram (and hopefully get sponsorships/partnerships one day!). You can follow me here!

My only thought when I took this photo was, "Damn, this is how my parents would look like in a classroom!" Lol

My parents and I went out to get groceries and we stopped somewhere to dine in. We had no idea that every food chain in the mall were only doing take-outs. All 3 of us were like, "So we have to go home to eat?" But the staff were kind enough to correct us and told us to find the Al Fresco dining area inside the mall. I was worried that it'll be filled with everybody else who's ordered take out. But when we got there, I realized people don't actually hang there for too long, they just and and go. The set-up looked like a park and quite cute actually. Thanks for providing this option, SM Supermalls!

I got Pfizer!

After a long long wait, I finally got a text from CEBUCITYVAX for my 1st dose vaccine schedule. I have been registered online since May 2021, so it was such a relief to finally have my turn to protect myself and everyone around me that way. The whole process took 4 hours, which was really exhausting. I felt like it could have been shortened with the right delegation of tasks of everyone involved and properly scheduling people. Honestly, the whole waiting and sitting doing nothing in the building was more painful than the shot itself. I was prepared to get my 2nd dose but this happened...

GRAPHIC IMAGE ALERT!

August 28th was just a totally normal Saturday: Mom came over, we got groceries, and ate. When she left, I just wanted to watch Drag Race, but realized I needed a shower. I took one, and the moment I was about to get out, my glass door just exploded on me. I absolutely had no idea what happened, but I was in shock for about 10 minutes. I just stood there with blood dripping all over my body and finally came to my senses to call for help. Long story short, my parents brought me to the nearest ER and I had to get about 12-15 stitches on both ankles and on my left thumb. Man, the shots I got were awfully painful. It was indeed a freak accident, but something that I will never forget for the rest of my life. As of this writing, I am still physically healing, taking antibiotics, and mentally recovering from this traumatic experience. Please include me in your prayers!

. . . .

You might ask, "how the hell did she quickly move on from that unfortunate event?" Well, I've learned not to wallow on things and continue to move forward. It might give me PTSD at some point, but as long as I occupy myself with things that make me happy and people who support and love me, I think I'll be okay!

Friends, life is too short and accidents can never be predicted. Please do me yourself a favor and be careful out there!
