Scream is part of the soundtrack of the movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year. It's the last movie of the franchise. The song is sung by Troy Bolton, played by Zac Efron. The song is the solo of Troy Bolton. It's all about the decision he has to make soon and how confused he is. He's trying to decide between two different paths and he's frustrated and confused of the entire situation he's in.
Sound:
The song has that emo, angsty pop vibe. Like what you would expect from a frustrated teenager singing his heart out. It has some pretty good lyrics and cool guitar riffs. But it's not exactly what I would call a catchy tune.
Impression:
It's a pretty straightforward song. The lyrics are good and the music was nice. It wasn't a song that I have on repeat. I was never a fan of the High School musical movies after the first one. There were just too much songs squeezed in. The first movie was great and I love the songs.The songs were really great in the first movie so it was not a surprise it blew up. But the second and third movies just felt…meh.
Anyway, Scream is your typical angsty teenage song where someone sings all about his frustrations. As a soundtrack, it goes really well with the movie. But as a single, I'm not that into it. I like the instrumental parts in the song, though. The music was really cool.
