Today's Bible Reading- Numbers Chapters 14-15.
Good morning, my friends. I hope you're well. Our forecast for today: 69°, mostly cloudy with bits of sunshine here and there, good air quality, and a stiff breeze coming in from the southwest today.
Saturday was chilly. It was downright cold. I made it to the garden center, but by the time I got home, the temperature dropped and I felt it was unwise to work outside, even with earmuffs.
I'm happy for a good day today, though. I intend on putting the lemons out today for fresh air and a good watering. I also have laundry to do, ledgers to balance, and I have a meeting tonight.
Supper will be simple. Nuggets and mac and cheese. I made roast for dinner yesterday and it was so good. So good. We had enough leftovers for one person, so I sent it back with Pop. I also made a no-bake gluten free cheesecake. Mom really enjoyed that. She loved the texture of it. Instead of using the paddle attachment on the mixer, I used the whisk attachment. It made the filling light and fluffy. Almost mousse-like.
Something new I tried yesterday was perfume. My best friend sent me a sampler of Skylar perfumes. I love that brand, and I've been wanting to get another bottle of my favorite scent, but it's pretty expensive. The closest store that carries it is over an hour from my house, and it's in a highly congested area, so getting there is a chore. Anyhoo. My bestie sent me a sampler of the scents because she couldn't remember which scent I was wanting, and because it is expensive. Surprisingly, I haven't used the scent I was wanting to get much. My body chemistry must have changed because it's pretty strong on me now. It doesn't smell bad, but a little goes a long way! Isle Escape is the name, I think. I found that the scent Salt Air, smells really good on me. On occasion, Pink Canyon works, but yesterday I decided to try a more fruity scent. Capri Summer. Wow. It smelled really good. Again, it's one of the stronger scents, so one spry is all I needed, but I can still smell it on me this morning. Kind of a fresh, citrusy scent.
Breakfast this morning is coffee and cottage cheese with strawberries. Gracie decided to wake Mom up this morning instead of me. Ha ha. I washed her bowl and filled it up before bed last night, but that critter polished it all off. I think her waking Mom up for a bowl refill was payback for yesterday. Mom put her headphones on after Pop left and was watching movies. When she has the headphones on, she can't hear anything. Gracie kept walking into the room, howling for her, and Mom never heard it. Poor cat. She just wanted some attention from Mom, and Mom had no clue. Grace is on her pillow, though, this morning, settling in for her nap. Once she conks out, she'll sleep until around 1:30 or 2:00. From there on, she'll take little power naps until it's nom nom time at 7:30. Then she hangs out with me until I fall asleep and then she parties all night.
It's such a nice day, I may go outside for a bit. The bird feeders need refilled, and our lawn guy may show up today. Oh! I forgot! All of my tomato seeds have sprouted now! My ground cherries have sprouted, and I'm getting little celery sprouts! Also, my hot peppers have sprouted now! Woo hoo! The gardening has officially begun! Just waiting on some bell peppers to sprout now.
Okay. That's all for now, folks. Love you all and until next time, stay safe my friends.
