In the Philippines, we have what we call the Coke Sakto. Sakto is the Filipino word for just right. This tupe of packaging of Coca Cola was made to deliver just the right volume of soda a person drinks in one sitting. Coke Sakto is 200mL, roughly the same amount your average drinking glass holds. So in a way, you are drinking one glass worth of soda in a very cute packaging.
Anyway, this was a photo of the first time I saw a Coke Sakto bottle. I've heard of it but never actually saw how it looked like. It was so cute!!! It was so small and fits tightbin my hand. Any other person can drink this in a few gulps but not me. I can drink like half of it. I can never finish one full glass of soda in one sitting. This type of packaging is very popular among Filipinos because it can give you the impression that you are drinking only a little soda. But then again if you drink 5 of these in a day and evenly spread throughout the day, then you are just tricking yourself. But I have to say, this is a nice marketing strategy. The size of the bottle can convince people to buy more, thinking that they are consuming less. And it's pretty much available in any sari sari store here in the Philippines. But still…you need to moderate your consumption. You never know when it will catch up.
