In advance of the warehouse sale this weekend, I dropped by E-Mart Traders to stock up on beverages and snacks for staff during the event. Before I came on board and assumed this responsibility for myself, beverages and snacks weren't provided. Everyone got a single roll of crappy gimbap and drank water from the cooler; they weren't even allowed to bring in their own items - "You're here to work, not have a picnic." After experiencing such abysmal treatment myself for the first time (see 11.290 Gimbap), I insisted the very next day that the managers overseeing the event take greater effort in taking care of the staff (see 11.291 Big Mac). And so now, in addition to better meals, I also make sure that they get things to eat and drink in between, both to show my appreciation and to keep them working.

Half-Chicken Rice Noodles (3.0): totally legit broth; chicken started out dry but softened up in the broth.

Chicken Baked Bread (2.5): not bad, kinda like a calzone.

Indian Chicken Curry (1.5): way too sweet, dry chicken.

I was happy to find that the food court has revamped its menu. Couldn't decide between the three chicken dishes, so we got one of each. Somewhat disappointed by the curry, pleasantly surprised by the pho and the roll. Good to know we have viable options beyond the overpriced crap on the 4th floor.
